Well Hookups
A well hookup ties a completed well into the gathering system that takes the gas away: wellhead through production equipment, separation, metering, and the tie-in itself. ShalePro has done this work since the 2017 Katko acquisition brought well hook-ups, installation, and fabrication into the company, and it covers single wells through multi-well pads. What separates it from a pure construction contract is what happens after commissioning. ShalePro operates more than 2,000 wells and hundreds of miles of gathering system, so on much of this work the crews making the tie-in are the crews who go on to run the system it connects to.

Does ShalePro perform well hookups?
Yes. ShalePro ties new wells into gathering systems, from single wells through multi-well pads, covering wellhead-to-midstream installation, production equipment, separation, and metering. The capability came in with the Katko acquisition in 2017 and has been part of the business since.
What does a well hookup contractor actually do?
Everything between a completed wellhead and gas moving into the gathering system. That means setting production equipment, installing separation and metering, running the interconnecting pipe, making the tie-in, and commissioning the result. On a multi-well pad it also means sequencing the work so wells already producing keep producing.
Can ShalePro fabricate the spools and skids for the hookup?
Yes. ShalePro fabricates pipe spools and modular skids at its West Alexander, Pennsylvania shop, so the fabrication and the field installation sit with one contractor rather than two. Shop conditions also mean welding and coating happen under cover rather than on the pad.
Does ShalePro operate the wells after the hookup?
It can, and often does. ShalePro operates more than 2,000 wells across the Appalachian Basin, so the same company that makes the tie-in can carry the well tending, compressor operations, and pipeline work afterward under one agreement.
