Leadership

The team behind the work

ShalePro is led by operators who have spent their careers in the field. Decades of upstream, midstream, construction, finance, sales, and workforce experience stand behind every project and every hire.

Sean Brake, Chief Executive Officer at ShalePro Energy Services

Sean Brake

Chief Executive Officer

Sean Brake is Chief Executive Officer of ShalePro Energy Services, where he leads the growth strategy for one of America's fastest-growing private companies and a key regional player in the Marcellus and Utica shale region. He oversees all operational and financial functions of the company, optimizing capital investments to drive growth in operations, maintenance, construction, and projects for production and midstream clients.

Throughout his career, Sean has led growth and transformation in conventional and unconventional development projects in upstream oil and gas across many geographies - from the Permian Basin to the Northeast, the Gulf of Mexico to California, and throughout Argentina. He is known for his compelling vision, his ability to build high-performing teams, and his commitment to people-centered, safety-driven operations.

Prior to joining ShalePro, Sean served as Asset Manager for the North San Joaquin Valley with Sentinel Peak Resources, where he spearheaded the transition of Seneca Resources' heavy/light oil and natural gas assets into the Sentinel Peak Resources portfolio. Previously, as Director of the West Division of Seneca Resources, he drove the division's successful financial and operational performance, and earlier led Seneca's Marcellus, Utica, and Upper Devonian completions and production operations from Pittsburgh as the shale business scaled to one billion cubic feet per day.

Sean's earlier career includes leadership roles at CNX Resources Corporation, Rex Energy Corporation, and Halliburton. He began his career with Unocal and Chevron.

Sean has served on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Independent Oil & Gas Association (PIOGA) and is the Past Board Chair of the California Independent Petroleum Association (CIPA). In 2022, he received CIPA's Glenn Ferguson Award for advancing the understanding of the oil and natural gas industry. Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Marietta College.
