What does a pigging technician do?
A pigging technician loads the pig into the launcher, pressures the line to move it, tracks it between launcher and receiver, and recovers it at the other end. On a cleaning run the technician measures what comes back, because paraffin, scale, and liquids tell the operator what is happening inside the line. On a smart (in-line inspection) run the technician handles the tool, protects the data, and keeps the run inside the speed window the ILI vendor specifies.
