Why build your career at ShalePro

Stability behind every paycheck

ShalePro is an established, privately backed company with almost 300 employees and three decades of operating experience. The work is steady and the company stands behind multi-year programs.

Real range of work

From well tending and compressor services to mechanical construction, fabrication, helical piles, and civil work across a footprint from New York to Tennessee. You can build a long career without leaving the company.

A safety culture, not a safety poster

Safety here is a daily habit, not a poster. Daily tailgate safety meetings, thorough job safety analysis, hundreds of field safety observations each quarter, and the certifications that keep crews safe and keep ShalePro on qualified bidder lists.

Room to grow

ShalePro promotes from the field. Technicians become leads, leads become supervisors, and the company invests in the training and certifications that get you there.

Roles we hire

Field and shop work across the Marcellus and Utica. Most people start in one discipline and cross-train into others, and supervisors come up out of the field.

Well tender and production operator jobs

Run a route of producing wells: check pressures and fluid levels, change charts, gauge tanks, troubleshoot equipment, and call out what needs a crew before it becomes downtime.

Compressor and pipeline technician jobs

Keep compression running and lines flowing. Compressor techs handle scheduled maintenance and unplanned repairs. Pipeline techs run pigs, grease valves, locate lines, and walk right-of-way.

Oilfield welder and pipe fabricator jobs

Weld and fit pipe in the West Alexander shop or in the field, to procedure, with the certifications the job requires. Shop work means controlled conditions and a consistent schedule.

Heavy equipment operator jobs

Run excavators, dozers, and loaders on well pads, compressor stations, and pipeline right-of-way, including site prep, grading, and restoration across steep Appalachian ground.

Roustabout jobs

The way most people enter the field. Site prep, rigging, material handling, and hands-on support for the skilled trades, with cross-training into a trade for anyone who wants it.

Class A CDL driver jobs

Move equipment, materials, and crews between shops, yards, and job sites across the basin, with local and regional runs rather than long-haul weeks away from home.

Mechanic technician jobs

Maintain and repair the fleet and field equipment that everything else depends on, in the shop and on site.

Painter and insulator jobs

Industrial and commercial coatings and insulation on midstream assets, including surface prep, application, and the inspection that proves the work.

Helical pile and civil construction jobs

Install deep foundations and build the pads, roads, and containment that energy and industrial sites sit on.

Renewable plant operator jobs

Operate and maintain renewable generation assets, using the same discipline the gas side runs on.

Field supervisor and project manager jobs

Lead crews, plan the work, own safety on site, and keep the schedule and the client honest with each other. Most come up from the field.

Frequently asked questions

Is ShalePro hiring?

Yes. ShalePro hires field and shop talent across operations and maintenance, mechanical construction, fabrication, helical piles, and civil construction, with openings across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and Tennessee and a footprint reaching from New York to Tennessee.

What kinds of roles does ShalePro hire for?

ShalePro hires well tenders and production operators, compressor and pipeline technicians, mechanic technicians, renewable plant operators, certified welders and fabricators, industrial and commercial painters and insulators, equipment operators, helical pile and civil crews, Class A CDL drivers, roustabouts, and field supervisors and project managers.

Do I need experience to apply?

ShalePro hires both experienced tradespeople and motivated people ready to learn. The company invests in training and certifications and promotes from the field, so a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety go a long way.

What is the ideal candidate for ShalePro?

The best fit is someone who takes safety seriously, shows up ready to work, and wants to grow through cross-training across service lines. ShalePro also offers flexible and seasonal opportunities, so it can be a fit whether you want year-round work or a defined season.

Can you get an oilfield job with no experience?

Yes. Roustabout is the usual way in, and it needs a work ethic and a willingness to learn rather than a resume full of field time. From there ShalePro cross-trains people into well tending, pipeline work, welding, and equipment operation, and promotes supervisors out of the field. Bring a clean driving record and a willingness to work outdoors in Appalachian weather.

Where does ShalePro hire?

ShalePro hires out of its shops and field offices in Houston and West Alexander, Pennsylvania, Thompson and St. Marys, Pennsylvania, Clarksburg, West Virginia, Clintwood, Virginia, and Kingsport, Tennessee. Crews work across New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee, so the job site is usually within driving distance of home.

Does ShalePro hire CDL drivers?

Yes. Class A CDL drivers move equipment, materials, and crews between shops, yards, and job sites across the basin. The runs are local and regional, so drivers are home rather than out for weeks.
