ShalePro Continues Expansion With Power Generation Services

Shale Pro is pleased to announce its entrance into the power generation market. As micro grids, behind the meter power and power redundancy projects become more of the norm for an already overwhelmed and aging American energy infrastructure, Shale Pro is utilizing its expanding mechanical and electrical workforce to address the market needs.

“This market expansion is a natural leverage off of our existing oil and natural gas services,” says ShalePro CEO Bill Johnson. “Both conventional and renewable natural gas power generation facilities require all of our core skill sets. In addition we have brought on key leadership with specific experience in these markets to guide our efforts.”

The first of the recent key hires was Mike Probst, who oversees all of ShalePro’s Instrumentation and Electrical Services and joined the company in June. Probst brings with him nearly a decade of service with Crestwood Midstream, where he served as the I&E/Measurement Supervisor, overseeing day-to-day operations and all electrical and measurement related projects.

Anthony Sara, another key new hire, will be serving as Vice President of Power Generation and Midstream. Sara brings 30 years of industrial and commercial project construction as well as being responsible for power generation projects such as IMG Midstream’s Wolf Run and AEP On Site Tosoh Facility.

Shawn Fleegle has also joined ShalePro as the Director of Business Development. Fleegle will continue to leverage his existing network in the power generation space, seeking developers and engine distributors alike in forming JV partnerships that can execute full EPC delivery of distributed power projects for the benefit of the end user. By utilizing ShalePro’s ability to construct and operate facilities across the continental U.S., Fleegle will be seeking nationwide partnerships for the successful completion of these projects.

“The knowledge and experience that Anthony and Shawn bring to the ShalePro team is truly going to set us up for success in expanding into this service line,” says Johnson.

With a full scope of self performing services including mechanical services, electrical, operations and a 35,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility and helical piles, ShalePro is positioned to serve this new market as well as it has its existing customer base.
