ShalePro Selected to the Gator 100 List

ShalePro Energy Services was named to the University of Florida’s 2021 Gator100 during a special virtual ceremony on April 23.

The Gator100 recognizes the world’s fastest-growing Gator businesses owned or led by UF alumni. Ernst & Young calculated each company’s compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the past three years to generate the ranking.

ShalePro was ranked 27 with a CAGR of 62.09%.

ShalePro Energy Services offers a full suite of best-in-class natural gas focused field services spanning the Appalachian Basin - Marcellus/Utica shale play, as well as basins across the US.  They have more than 25 years of production, midstream, and power generation experience and currently provide operations, maintenance, and construction services to those sectors of the natural gas industry. ShalePro also has a full suite of Support Services in-house that allow for the safe delivery of projects on-time and on-budget.

“I am so proud as a UF Alum to have ShalePro included on this list once again,” said ShalePro CEO Bill Johnson (UF Class of 85’). “Its such an honor to be recognized for our work by my alma mater and really shows the resiliency of ShalePro and our employees to have had the growth that we did at a time when our industry had started to slow down. I’m so proud of our team.”

To qualify for the Gator100, companies must have been in business for five or more years as of Oct. 30, 2020, and have had verifiable annual revenues of $250,000 or more every year since 2017. Additionally, a UF alumnus or alumna must have met one of the following three leadership criteria:

  1. Owned 50 percent or more of the company from Jan. 1, 2017, through Oct. 30, 2020; or

  2. Served as the company’s chief executive from Jan. 1, 2017, through Oct. 30, 2020; or

  3. Founded the company and been active as a member of the most senior management team from Jan. 1, 2017, through Oct. 30, 2020.

This is the second year in a row that ShalePro has been recognized on the list.
